One of the healthiest Greek foods, these Cretan rusks are made in a family bakery using a traditional recipe and natural, pure ingredients. Made from wholemeal flours, they are high in natural fibres and great for the digestive system.

Barley rusks taste best when paired with cheeses, honey, olives or cured meats, but can also be eaten as an accompaniment to meals in place of bread, dipped in extra virgin olive oil. They can also play the role of croutons in leafy salads, thicken soups. You can also soak them in milk or water and add honey, yogurt and fruits for a delicious cerial alternative in the morning!
